Hello and waving! And saying thank-you to the lovely Sian for her Monday inspiration - a post about mail we've received and things we've been up to. Do visit Sian to find out more over at From High In The Sky: there is always something delightful to read, and links to follow :).

My mail tale today is about some from long ago but newly found - I'm hoping that's OK, Sian? And the things we've been up to are a few weeks old but fresh in the telling (a tricky time here has got in the way of my bringing it to you before).
And it was Himself, really, who began it all. A late Saturday morning: Dad was tired and dozing, I was folding laundry after our whirlwind two-day trip to see our son and the Littlies, and Himself was fiddling around in his Miscellaneous drawer looking for something well, miscellaneous, I expect. "Oh, my!" he exclaimed, pulling out a piece of card. "I had forgotten all about this!" I leaned over his shoulder ...
"That's lovely!", I replied. "Who's it from?" He turned it over as I spoke, and we gazed at it together. Then smiled ...
We looked at each other; "It's still in the camera", I said. "Give me a moment ..." And a few minutes later, there it was. A photo from just a couple of days previously: happy moments on a Springtime beach with our son and grandson.
See what those cold little hands are holding? Himself dug me in the ribs affectionately. "He's doing OK in the Dad department, isn't he?". "More than!", I replied. And we smiled again ...
