When your very favourite (and only) daughter rings to ask if she can come and stay for the night, and it's the day after her birthday and you thought you weren't going to see her for another week, what do delighted parents do? Unfold an embroidered tablecloth, whip up a cake, sneak around the garden in the dusk snipping blossoms, and lay the table for tea ...
And when it's all over, and she's off in the train laden with family gifts, it's time to hunt out the card, find the scissors, and unearth the inks ... For two days of scrapbooking with wonderful blogging friends the weekend before (and a pressie of cute little dies - thank-you, Jemma!) reminded me that - as well as all things digital - I do quite like a bit of messing around with stuff ...
And little by little, with a lot of shifting, twisting and trying things out ('auditioning', I learnt, is the artsy term for this), plus a dollop of backache, it all came together sufficiently to say 'Enough!'
And what with a nice new 8.5 x11 album having just popped through the door, plus a pack of white card, there may even be more where this came from :).
