Mid-December, and - for those of us in the northern hemisphere - only a clutch of days away from the longest night of the year. Up here, though the days are short, they are full of whirling activity and not a little panic at times. So much to share with you, and so little time! So it has been a relief to pause, reflect, and record a moment from this morning. And if you would like to do the same sometime before the end of the year, and share it with us, you will be most welcome. (The link is below). It is always a joy to be allowed a little peep into your world, through your eyes. Today, here is mine ...
Hoping you are all well and thriving, and looking forward to being back with you soon ...
Good luck this afternoon. Thanks for sharing your moment!

Good luck today. I can totally relate to the part of the house not heated up yet as I sit in the room over the garage - it has to be the coldest one. :)

Lovely post. I felt like I was there with you. I love the light of your little bamboo lights, especially when the nights are so long.
Hope all went well with your dad.

the relationship between the lights and eyes? Was it subconscious?. I hope the op went well for your dad.

The bamboo lights are so pretty. I so hate the cold of the tile floor so could feel the tug of avoiding it or having that hot cup of tea/coffee. I hope all went smoothly for your dad and that he had indeed fallen asleep with the light on.

You do a great job capturing that quiet moment when you need to stay quiet . . . keeping a good thought for your father. Thanks for hosting. I plan to post later this week.

I hope your dad's appointment went well, Alexa! I loved reading your moment, and I was really touched how, at the end, your mood was lifted with a creative thought of adding ivy to your pretty strand of lights!

Hoping that everything went smoothly and that he's back home and improving every day.
This was a very peaceful moment to share with you ... I wonder if you were actually just getting in some secret practise for sneaking downstairs to squeeze Christmas presents next week.
Merry Christmas Alexa. Merry, merry Christmas. x

Your write beautifully Alexa. I have loved following your meme this year. I'm sorry I can't join in this month (life got rather in the way with the end of term), but am eager to continue if you are doing it again this year?! x

I hope the appointment went well - I wrote notes for my moment on the 15th and might actually get these typed up. But appreciate the monthly reminder. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

This is a beautiful layout...the bamboo lights lending a soft glow to your morning, the title nestled into the diagonal, and the white lettering on black...all very creative and inviting.
Like others posting here, I hope everything went well with your Dad's appointment and that you and yours are enjoying the gentle pleasures of Christmas eve...
