Goodness, this is a stunning page Alexa! The balance between the focal shot and white space is wonderful ... plus, excellent use of type!

Now that is very different but a fantastic page. Great take on it x

a gorgeously simple page as usual but wow your journalling is fantastic! Please write a book one day xxx

Such a totally different [and amazingly creative] page....but I see how the hexagon is now becoming the thread!!
Your journaling is wonderful as always.

Loving the hexagons. You have such a way with design and words, it's always a pleasure to look at your work.

A beautiful page! I love the colours and the type very much indeed.

"Here's your hat, where's your hurry?" as my Mum would say! Yes, I'll move on and see what's next..

That sounded like a very interesting cellophane bag to go through. Love the correlation between the fifty pence & the hexagons.

To quote Amy, this is indeed a stunning page, Alexa! I love how you used the hexagons and transport theme from Mel - and taken it another step using the hexagon as an embellishment. And I could make out your journaling - what a wonderful story. Such a lovely thing to find in a cellophane bag, and a wonderful way to show respect by breathing new life into this book.

Excellent creative photo cropping and brilliant journalling, design, use of white space .... I knew your spin would take us off on another tangent!

Such a wonderful new twist. I can't add anything to the comments above (or below?)
Thanks for joining in the celebrations.

What a deceptively simple layout--but it's obvious you put a lot of thought and care into it. Not only to the design, of course, but also to the journaling. I think you succeeded in your goal of threading Mr. Mottram's life into someone else's--your own. And, with your many scrapbooks and other works of art, I'm your life and times will be celebrated for a long time.

I loved your layout and the hexagons so much as you will see from my scraplifting,
Jo xxx

stunning page, love all the hexagons

I love how you've kept the hexagons and made the jounaling the star of the page.

I'm catching up on the blog hop posts and am loving seeing how the page has evolved. I like the hexagon motif. I think I might try it on PL this week.

Gorgeous layout Alexa, love the Hexagon idea. I've just bought a hexagon die and was thinking f making something along these lines so I was pleased to see your page & be inspired by it. Pxx

I've been so impatient to see what you did - and here I am at last :) Wow! So lovely, and so clever - and may I just say that I feel honoured and humbled to have in any way inspired one of your layouts xx

I've finally found time for a catch up and find myself in the middle of this marvellous blog hop :o) Such a striking page and the balance is just perfect. I love hexagons as a motif. They put me in mind of patchwork and honeycomb, two things I'm rather fond of.

A great way to pick up on the hexagons, but with a twist.

Missus Wookie

I really like the way you've used the hexagon to frame the paper edges - making it feel 3D as if they're reaching out through the frame. Such a nice story too. So enjoying hopping along seeing how they change :)

Oh, and I meant to say also how thrilled I was that you spotted that little bicycle that told me the paper was perfect for my windmill photo! xx

Oh I love this Alexa! What a wonderful hop this is to see all the changes :)

This has been a lot of fun. I love how Mel's hexagons inspired yours. This is really an elegant page!

I love this layout! It's been so fun to see what people are doing with their inspirations.

Yvonne Yam

Love the use of the hexagons across the page. And the journaling looks fantastic!

LOVE what you've done with Mel's hexagons, Alexa...and as always your journaling is superb!

I love the hexagons and those images that you've used are adorable.

Lovely page! I just might have to scraplift that! But to whom would I give credit?... [pondering...]
