"What?" he said, staring at it. "You really like it?".
"I do", I replied, swivelling it back towards me on the table, to study it again. "I might make a template".
"They might not be so keen," he observed pointedly. "Look". His finger traced the facts. "Columns different widths. Title all chopped up and in different fonts. Not much space for journalling. Wonky lines."
My graphic burblings in recent years had clearly not passed him by, and I was, truthfully, more than a little taken aback. "And", came the final triumphant coup de grace, "the spacing between the columns isn't even the same!"
"You're absolutely right", I mused. And yet ... I liked the advert. Very much. Could be useful for those photos where you just want to show a bit, or there's a section which is great and the rest is frankly awful. Or you want to mix up photos and papers without too much of either ...
So I went ahead and made it anyway. Here it is - please feel free to download it (should work in Photoshop and Elements) and hope you have some fun with it!
I will be having a little play myself, and hopefully by Wednesday there'll be a page to share. If you haven't yet added your name to Sian's very generous Pass The Book, you have forty-eight hours left. :) See you then?
