... my true love said to me:
16 days of panic
15 presents unbought
14 packs of cards to write
13 phone calls to Ikea
12 cupboards still to build
11 mugs cluttering up the sink
10 plus some noughts to fix the damp
9 piles of carpet-grippers
8 tins of Dulux paint
7 days till your parents arrive
6 workmen on the site:
5 gold stars!
4 builders' vans
3 carpet-fitters
2 painters and plumbers
1 extension closer-to-done
and a pair of adults
keeping fingers crossed!
No December pages to show, alas - intermittent electricity due to alterations. But here's a quick pic:
Hoping you have a lovely weekend, and see you on Monday?

Tra la la la la la la!
Glad that you are still managing to se the funny side - even if it is buried under snow, carpet tacks and broken promises.
Lovely page - amazing how you can colour match so beautifully :D

Glad to hear that 'you're getting there'. Hopefully it won't be too much longer until things are back to normal. Have a great Christmas xx

Oh, I like this! Anyone who phones Ikea that many times and lives to tell the tale deserves a medal.

I know you'll make it through when you can be this clever in the midst of all the chaos and panic. Can't wait to see the finished project (but I'm sure no one is as anxious as you are!)

Your sense of humour will keep you going through all this chaos and one day you'll look back and know it has been all worth while. I love your photos, what a great record of these 'trying' times! Meantime, keep your chin up!
